MUSIC PRODUCER
LAURENCE
BRAHM
Directing the music tracks of Shambhala Studfio Films, Laurence Brahm works with musicians across a spectrum of regions and styles with teams in Kathmandu, London, Beijing, and Los Angeles. He has evolved a style of integrating Tibetan ritual prayer and mantra into hard rock, punk, hip hop and done metal styles creating Himalayan Wave as a movement encompassing a spectrum of genre sounds. He has a firm belief that media and music are platforms for the dissemination of information and in this period of global degeneration, Himalayan Wave can reach out to audiences across continents and in particular a younger generation that is seeking to access the Himalayan traditional wisdom codes in fresh and creative ways.

Wangdu Soldep is the first music video adopting a traditional Tibetan prayer to rap. Tulku Rabgay Rinpoche of the Pema Rangdang Dharma Center in Bhutan requested that this magnetizing prayer written in the 19th Century by Mipham Rinpoche be disseminate worldwide to re-empower our planet. Adoping a We are the World approach, Laurence spent a year bringing together hip hop artists from across the world to produce the first Tibetan prayer sung to rap. He also is the first to produce Guru Padmasambhava’s Seven Line Prayer and mantra to rock.
