Traveling across Tibet, Laurence met monks, nuns, artists, non-governmental organizations and environmental activists. Undertaking grassroots efforts to preserve their people’s cultural heritage, they were helping change lives for the better. They in turn inspired Brahm’s move to Lhasa and make a commitment to poverty relief and medical outreach on the Himalayan plateau. With these goals in mind, Brahm established Shambhala in 2005, a social enterprise dedicated to ethnic diversity and cultural sustainable development.
